These hot fall makeup trends won't make you sweat!

Wearing makeup in tropical conditions seems so impractical on sweltering days - there are many of those here in The Bahamas - yet, we can’t help but to be soft glam girls! Although we don’t quite have a Fall season, we can’t help but love some of the fall makeup trends gracing the faces of your favourite celebrities, influencers, makeup artists, and models. Without further ado, here are:

3 Fall Makeup Trends You Need to Try

1. Barely There Makeup (No Makeup)

For obvious reasons, this is my favourite fall makeup trend. If you cannot stand to feel cakey on balmy days under the Bahamian sun, barely there makeup is perfect. Less is more with this trend. Instead of painting your face with pore-clogging full coverage foundation and concealers, use lightweight, sheer formulas. Think tinted moisturizers, BB creams, and even cream bronzers for the women who love that summer glow year-round. Fill your brows, add some mascara (if you’re not wearing lashes already), and a tint of blush to your cheeks for a fresh face that works day to night.

2. Red Lips

Nothing quite says Christmas coming like red lips! They are bold, festive, and perfect for the many hues of black skin! The shade of red lipstick you wear depends on your preference. There is no right or wrong shade. I still love Mac’s Ruby Woo for a classic matte red lip, but that doesn’t mean that Fenty’s Stunna Lip Paint doesn’t get me going. If you prefer a glossy lip, that works too! Again, it’s all a matter of preference. Pro-tip: for red lips that stay, line your lips before applying lipstick or gloss.

3. Coral Eyeshadow

I know what you’re thinking: coral eyeshadow in the Fall?! That’s so Summer of me! But hear me out - we live in the tropics, so technically, it’s Summer all year round. Think about it, orange is Fall’s staple colour, and coral is somewhere in the orange family, no? This Fall makeup trend is exciting because it adds a pop of colour during a season many tend to wear darker, more muted hues. For those who love bold jewel tones for cooler months of the year, coral is the perfect complement for just about all of them. Royal blue and coral? Yes. Emerald green and coral? Absolutely yes! Please don’t get me started on yellow and coral because, duh!
